Phew! What a busy week.

The week began – as many of you know – in Miami, at the AAPN pro: Americas Annual Conference. More than 200 very different members of our industry came together for three days of discussion, learning and networking ..and a little fun. Here are just a few snapshots from the weekend (courtesy of Etextilecommunications)

Winners of the Industry Leadership Awards during the Americas Apparel Producers’ Network’s (AAPN’s) pro:Americas Annual Conference this morning in Miami are (L-R) Ron Roach, president, Contempora Fabrics; Don Hire, director, Business Development, Crowley Caribbean Logistics; and Barbara Zeins, president, Gerson & Gerson.
Ed Gribbin (L), senior advisor at Alvanon, and Robin Lewis, founder & CEO of The Robin Report and co-author of Retail’s Seismic Shift: How to Shift Faster, Respond Better, and Win Customer Loyalty, participate in a “fireside chat” about the now consumer-driven state of retail at today’s Americas Apparel Producers’ Network’s pro:Americas Annual Conference in Miami.
Americas Apparel Producers’ Network member company APJeT, Inc., which specializes in atmospheric plasma technology, is attending AAPN’s pro: Americas Annual Conference this week in Miami. Here, Martha Miller (center), VP of Business Development, is networking with representatives of Everest Textile Company, Forest City, N.C. — at Four Seasons Hotel Miami.
Tony Anzovino, Americas Apparel Producers’ Network president and chief sourcing & merchandising officer, Haggar Clothing Co., Dallas, kicks off the AAPN pro: Americas Annual Conference

The conference wasn’t all we paid attention this week of course. We were delighted to be able to congratulate APPN member George C. Moore Co and their amazing team on winning  (another ) very prestigious award and took a look at some of the most interesting news stories surrounding our industry this week, including the impact of fast fashion on the environment and how H&M are hoping Big Data can provide the key to their recovery.

Yes, we had a busy – but very enjoyable – week, how was yours? Join us on Facebook, Twitter or LinkedIn and let us know!
