AAPN Weekly Roundup 7/20/18

It’s been another busy week here at AAPN!

This week we welcomed a new member, TECNOLOGÍA TEXTIL AVANZADA, S.A of Guatemala and celebrated some milestone achievements by existing AAPN members Lectra, NGC, Intradeco, and Gerber. It’s always great to see the members of this great network doing amazing things. And check out the designs created by the finalists in the Gerber Ideation student contest, they prove once again that the future of apparel in the Americas is very bright.

Mike has been busy too. An interview he conducted with AAPN member and industry leader Jesus Canahuati of Elcatex in Honduras was published in Sourcing Journal and indulged his love of the history of our industry by exploring the legend of flour sack clothing, making for a very interesting piece indeed.

Back in the office, we are still finalizing all the plans for the next AAPN Regional Conference, which is set for September 12, 2018, back at AAPN President Tony Anzovino’s stomping grounds; Haggar headquarters in Dallas. Have you signed up yet? We’re also still ironing out the details for the very exciting Apparel Summit of the Americas in Honduras in November, and we invite you to register for that as well, as it promises to be a truly enlightening experience,

So that was our week, how was yours? Join us on Facebook, LinkedIn or Twitter and let us know, we’d love to hear from you.
