Mastercard: 2017 Was a VERY Merry Christmas for Retailers


Santa is now on his much needed annual vacation (we’re guessing he goes somewhere tropical after a year at the North Pole), the presents are unwrapped, everyone is eating leftovers and the stores  are filled with folks making those almost inevitable returns.

And that’s a good point. The stores are filled. According to the just released Mastercard SpendingPulse report for holiday 2017 they have been that way all holiday shopping season long, with retailers enjoying the kinds of impressive sales figures that haven’t been seen in bricks and mortar retail for years.
