Survey Says Teens Prefer Food over Clothing, Nike is Losing Its Heat and Streetwear is on the Rise

According to a survey recently published by Piper Jaffray Companies teen spending, which accounts for more than you might imagine, is changing, and while apparel is still popular, it’s being outpaced by food. There is one apparel category in which teen spending is increasing though; streetwear, just not that created by ‘OGs’ like Nike, who seem to be losing their grip on their once huge market share.
